Krasnodar Region plans Russia’s first international-standard tourism and leisure cluster

The Krasnodar Region Ministry of Economy has signed a long-term partnership agreement with PAO Abrau-Durso to advance this initiative. The agreement aims to improve organisational and management efficiency at the resort.

«The strategic partnership with PAO Abrau-Durso covers three key areas. Firstly, introducing lean production methods and establishing Russia's first highly efficient, world-class tourism and leisure cluster. Secondly, developing the experience economy to make the cluster one of the drivers of creative economy growth. This will allow adding 220 billion roubles to the gross regional domestic product as early as this year. And thirdly, expanding wine tourism, a major independent segment of the tourism industry of the Krasnodar Region,» said Alexei Yurtaev, Minister of Economy of the Krasnodar Region.

The parties have agreed to exchange expertise on optimising business processes and enhancing management decision-making. The collaboration will feature working meetings, consultations, and joint initiatives to advance wine tourism in the Krasnodar Region.

«Our company has experience of working together to drive improvements, and our team is committed to constructive dialogue. We are confident this partnership will deliver strong results. Our joint efforts will transform the Abrau-Durso into a high-performance tourism hub,» said Elena Zaritskaia, CEO of PAO Abrau-Durso.

The Abrau-Durso resort forms part of the Abrau-Durso Group, a company specialising in wine and gastronomy. The site features museum, hotel and restaurant complexes, a multimedia space, spa centres, equestrian and sailing clubs, as well as a yoga centre, a seaside beach, and other tourist facilities and attractions. Throughout the year, visitors can enjoy guided tours and tastings, attend creative and culinary workshops, take boat trips on Lake Abrau, and explore scenic walking routes. Each year, the resort hosts major wine, gastronomy, and music festivals, attracting visitors from across Russia.
